Ethan Humble joined the KCCI 8 News team as a reporter/multimedia journalist in May 2023.

KCCI is Ethan’s first job right after graduating from Simpson College with degrees in multimedia journalism and marketing communications with minors in math and data analytics. During his time at Simpson, Ethan stayed busy playing on the tennis team, playing percussion in the concert band, serving as a student mentor, and hosting a radio show with his friends, among other activities.

Ethan is from Stewartville, Minnesota, where he was raised by his parents Hope and Fred Diekman and Jim and Vicky Humble. Prior to his graduation, he served as a news intern and a marketing and sales intern at KTTC News in Rochester, Minnesota, in the summers of 2021 and 2022, respectively.

When he isn't at work, Ethan’s hobbies include disc golf, tennis, running, and spending time with his friends and family.
