One Des Moines teenager is dead after a motor vehicle accident Saturday night.
The Polk County Sheriff's Office says the accident happened around 11 p.m. in the 3500 block of NE 86th Avenue in Des Moines.
Deputies arrived on the scene and found the Chevy Silverado truck on its top in the north ditch.
Preliminary investigations show there were two teenagers in the cab of the truck and three teenagers riding in the bed of the truck.

Four of the teenagers were uninjured during the accident.
Investigators believe the teenager that died was riding in the bed of the truck.
The names of all parties involved are not being released due to their ages.
According to the latest data from the Iowa Department of Transportation, 221 people have died so far this year on Iowa roads. That's 23 more than at the same point in 2022. Over the last five years, an average of 338 people have been killed in statewide crashes annually.
