A 16 year old, who doesn’t even have her driver’s license yet, just graduated college in Arizona and she’s already applying for jobs in the nursing field.Elliana Tenenbaum started taking college classes while in high school. By age 14, according to her father, she was taking classes that most students don’t take until they’re in their 20s."Her ability to learn things is very impressive the ability to dedicate herself to work hard is amazing,” Steven Tenenbaum, Elliana’s dad and a doctor, told KTVK/KPHO.The 16 year old now holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Arizona State University’s Accelerated Nursing Program. "Already have been applying to some nursing jobs,” she said.Although she’s on the job hunt, Elliana Tenenbaum still plans to further her education.“In the very near future, I hope to pursue a path as a doctor of nursing practice,” she said.Tenenbaum and other graduates of the nursing program, after taking classes through the summer, recently enjoyed a celebration. Tenenbaum was the youngest graduate honored during the event. "Most of my peers know and I have been unconditionally accepted,” she said.Tenenbaum wasn’t going to let being younger than her college classmates hold her back."It wasn't about what age I wanted to do something, or what amount of time but I knew this was the right pathway for me, and why hold myself back when I could get started,” she said.See more in the video player above
