‘Snakes Alive’ booth offers fairgoers a chance to get up close to reptiles
The Snakes Alive booth at the Iowa State Fair hosts a number of different slithery reptiles.
The booth, which has been around for over 40 years, features snakes, frogs and lizards.
Those who come to the exhibit can even hold a snake for themselves. It's part of what makes the exhibit a unique experience for fairgoers.
"Snakes Alive is a little bit different experience. You walk through, you get to see some exotic snakes from all over the world. Snakes, reptiles, there's a giant water monitor up front. I've got a frog the size of a dinner plate back there in the hallway," Nick Blay with Snakes Alive said.
The exhibit is open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. every day of the fair. Tickets are $3.50 with an additional charge to hold the snake.
