An 8-year-old child is in the hospital recovering after getting hit by a deputy's truck in Glidden.According to Iowa State Patrol, the child was riding on a bicycle around 1:45 p.m. on Saturday. The child traveled into the road from a driveway and was hit by Carroll County Deputy Thomas Fransen's truck.Fransen was unable to stop before hitting the child, according to troopers.
