Iowa believes more experience will lead to offensive success in 2023

Iowa believes more experience will lead to offensive success in 2023
Offense has been the punch line this off season and within good reason, they ranked near the bottom in every statistical category that starts in the trenches with the zero line. They allowed almost three sacks per contest last season. So last year was *** lot of hanging with kids, sticking with kids, showing them how not to flinch. Now, they are more experienced. They have 114 career starts and had two veteran transfers. You know, we just have *** little bit more maturity right now. That's comforting. We also have competition, which is really good. Every team is better with competition and quite frankly, we haven't had *** lot of at that position right now. I think we're seeing that in when I was in the position last year. I didn't need to look back at all. You know, this year it's *** little bit different and there's guys who, you know, if I'm not playing at my best or if I'm not locked into what I need to be locked into, you know, someone will come in and take my spot and I think that's something that, you know, I think this year it's just really emphasized the details of what we do each and every day. As *** player, let's talk about what's behind the old line that's veteran transfer quarterback, Kay mcnamara from Michigan. He brings along with him, Eric, all who is also from Michigan playing in that tight end set with Luke Luke. He, you know, he's good, he's real long and fast and runs great routes. So, you know, we're ready to attack the season and get out there and, you know, help each other or help the team win out wide. We have Caleb Brown who's from Ohio State, *** very highly touted wide receiver dude. That's my boy, just *** guy who the joke there, funny dude, cool dude and *** great football player as we all know. And of course in the backfield, we have Caleb Johnson who had *** stand out stellar freshman year with the Hawks. I love our offense, man. Like in general, like these guys right here. These are my brothers. So I just feel like us building as an offense is just like *** big thing this year because nobody, everybody doubts us this year. So this does inject some optimism into the Iowa fan base considering the lack of offensive production they had last season. I think that *** bunch of guys in this team, even though we came from different places, one thing we have in common is we didn't have the years we wanted to last season and you could see that in the way that we practice this year, offense, defense and special teams. I think that we have *** chip on our shoulder and we're, we're excited for the season to start. You won't just have to watch this offensive action on Twitter. You'll get to see it in person right here at Kick stadium on September 2nd when the Hawkeyes host Utah State, I'm Shannon *** K I sports leader.
