The humidity continues to creep up as we head into this new workweek. A new disturbance will make its way to Iowa late tonight bringing widespread rain and storms across the state by daybreak. Steady rain can be expected through the morning hours and morning rush, then the activity will become a little more scattered through the afternoon.
Heaviest totals will likely be focused in Western Iowa where the rain begins first, but metro could see .50-.75 inches potentially. Rain ends tomorrow and then we are back for a nice day on Thursday for the state fair.
Rain chances return Thursday night into early Friday morning. Friday afternoon is dry but highs stay in the upper 80s. Weekend looks nice for the time being, with a few storm chances on Sunday.
