Lawson has worked for more than 30 years as an early education PE health teacher. She threw out the first pitch at the Spark game on Educator's Night. Afterward, she was surprised with the brand-new car.Lawson told sister station KOCO what she thinks is most important about being a teacher and a coach. "Truly showing them I care. I think that's No. 1. You have to develop a relationship with every child that you can. That's our goal," she said. "And the same thing is true with softball.
