The convictions include several counts of assault with *** dangerous weapon. One count of interfering with law enforcement officers and one count of obstruction among others. According to court documents, Schwartz stole chemical irritants including pepper spray, then used it to attack authorities throughout the day. Schwartz was already on probation and had 38 prior convictions. An attorney for Schwartz told insider, although we're pleased that the court found both the guidelines calculation and the government's requested sentence of more than 24 years unreasonable.
