Peter Francis Stager of Conway, Arkansas, pleaded guilty to assaulting, resisting, or impeding certain officers using a deadly or dangerous weapon.
Stager took part in the 2021 insurrection attempt at the U.S. Capitol that temporarily stopped Congress from counting electoral ballots.
Witnesses identified Stager from the videos, according to the court documents.
One video shows Stager using an American flag to repeatedly strike the officer, the document states.
In another video, Stager says, "Everybody in there is a treasonous traitor. Death is the only remedy for what's in that building."
Stager originally pleaded not guilty but changed his plea in February 2023.
Law enforcement has arrested more than 900 people across the country for crimes related to the breach of the Capitol. A special counsel investigating the events sent a letter to former President Donald Trump suggesting he could be indicted as well.
