STATE FAIR IS UNVEILING A BIG UPGRADE FOR AN ICONIC SPOT. TAKE A LOOK. ONE DAY, IOWA LEADERS, INCLUDING GOVERNOR REYNOLDS, JOINED THE FAIR AND CUTTING THE RIBBON FOR THE NEW IOWA PORK TENT. THE FACILITY IS BIGGER, MOVES THE OUTDOOR GRILL TO THE EAST SIDE OF THE BUILDING, INCLUDING OTHER UPGRADES. LOOK AT IT. IT’S GREAT. FOR DECADES, THOUSANDS OF IOWANS HAVE GOTTEN THEIR PORK CHOP ON A STICK, SERVED UP BY A POLITICAL LEADERS AND PRESIENTIAL CANDIDATES. THIS IS EXCITING. IT’S ONE OF THE FAVORITE THINGS THAT I GET TO DO AS PART OF THE 11 DAYS THAT I’M OUT AT THE IOWA STATE FAIR. WE ENCOURAGE ANYBODY THAT’S TRAVELING TO BE SURE AND FLIP SOME PORK CHOPS, HIGHLIGHT HOW IMPORTANT THIS INDUSTRY IS TO THE TO THE STATE AND AGRICULTURE

The Iowa Pork Producers Association unveiled a big upgrade for an iconic spot at the Iowa State Fair on Thursday.Iowa leaders, including Governor Kim Reynolds, joined the Iowa Pork Producers at the fairgrounds to cut the ribbon for the new Iowa Pork Tent.The facility is bigger, and moves the outdoor grill to the east side of the building.For decades, thousands of Iowans have gotten pork chops served up by political leaders and presidential candidates."This is exciting. It's one of the favorite things that I get to do as part of the 11 days that I'm out here at the fair. We encourage anyone that's traveling to be sure and flip some pork chops, highlight how important this industry is to the state and agriculture overall," Governor Kim Reynolds said.
