THE EVENT FEATURES OVER 4000 HOT RODS, TRUCKS, MUSCLE CARS AND EVEN CLASSICS AT THE IOWA STATE FAIRGROUNDS. THERE ARE ALSO BURNOUT COMPETITION, CARNES, EVEN FOOD EATING CONTESTS AND ALSO A KIDS ZONE WITH ARTS AND CRAFTS. DRAG RACING DRIVER JIM HEIDI SAYS THAT THIS SHOW IS A GREAT WAY FOR HIM TO TALK WITH FANS ABOUT HIS CAR. THEY ANSWER A LOT OF QUESTIONS FOR PEOPLE THAT HAVEN’T BEEN UP CLOSE TO A CAR LIKE THIS, SO THEY’RE ALWAYS CURIOUS AND, YOU KNOW, ASK A LOT OF THINGS BECAUSE THEY DON’T UNDERSTAND IT. The Goodguys Car Show was packed with a wide variety of cars and trucks this weekend.Back for its 32nd year, the event featured over 4,000 hot rods, trucks, muscle cars and classics at the Iowa State Fairgrounds.There were burnout competitions, food-eating contests and a kids' zone with arts and crafts.Drag racing driver Jim Hidy said the show is a great way for him to talk with fans about his car. "Answer a lot of questions for people that haven't been up close to a car like this. So they're always curious and ask a lot of things because they don't understand it. You watch it on TV, you see it, but you don't have a chance to ask the TV questions," Hidy said.
