Kickoff time announced for 2023 Cy-Hawk football game, plus full Cyclones, Hawkeyes schedules
College football fans can look forward to a mid-afternoon kickoff for the 2023 Cy-Hawk game.
Iowa and Iowa State will play at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 9, at Jack Trice Stadium. The rivalry game will be broadcast on Fox. Iowa State announced Aug. 8 that the Cy-Hawk game is sold out.
Both teams open the season the week prior to the Cy-Hawk game, with Iowa State hosting UNI and Iowa hosting Utah State.

Iowa, which went 8-5 last season and shut out Kentucky in the Music City Bowl, opens this season at home Sept. 2 against Utah State. Kickoff at Kinnick Stadium will be 11 a.m.
The kickoff time for Iowa's primetime CBS matchup at Penn State has been moved from 7 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Sept. 23. CBS will also air Iowa's season finale Nov. 24 at Nebraska.
Iowa State, which finished 4-8 last season, opens the season Sept. 2 at home against Northern Iowa. Kickoff for that game is 1 p.m.
