Former President Jimmy Carter's grandson spoke to reporters this week at an event honoring his grandfather in his home state of Georgia.It comes three months after the 98-year-old Carter announced he would receive in-home hospice care instead of further medical treatment.The Carter Center didn't say what specific health conditions the announcement was related to. The former president has had bouts with cancer and multiple falls in recent years.Carter's grandson, Jason Carter, said the former president and first lady are resting comfortably at home. "They're down in Plains," Jason Carter said of his grandparents. "They're together and they've been together for 70-plus years. They're coming to the end. He's going to be 99 in October, but right now, it's sort of the perfect way for them to spend these last days - together at home in Plains."Various dignitaries were at the event, including Carter's UN Ambassador Andrew Young.
