We're in Excelsior Springs *** town that was famous for its water is now turning out top tier wine *** proper miracle. This is the last trolley stop of the day Van till family winery. Abby, how does this one compare? It's my favorite winery and Excelsior and they do the best wood fired pizza. It is so amazing. The family behind her favorite winery are the van til opened in 2006 by Cliff and Debbie Van til the couple use their past farming experience to begin *** vineyard in the middle of Missouri. And now the business is *** family affair with their son Jason as general manager and so we have close to 30 wines. We have nine varieties of grapes were growing Norton which is Missouri state grape. Well it makes for great tv smashing grapes. Doing it with *** machine is *** whole lot quicker. Can't say we didn't try. Device Brianna I feel fancy just hearing those words and the brains behind those bottled creations is Debbie, she's the head winemaker, my wife is very involved, she's the chemist, she does all the scientific stuff, we're kind of the grunts, we pop wine, she is the mastermind behind the gardening, she is *** master gardener. Their gardens are so, so beautiful, it is like heaven. There's interest trees here, this room is just full of the citrus blossom smell and according to Debbie the indoor gardens allow. Not just year round produce but year round ambiance and the geraniums are blooming year round. So we get this bright, beautiful colors. Being *** multi talented lady. Debbie also developed the van til pizza. That's right after moving to Kansas city, the family bought *** white clay oven and shipped it all the way from France. It was used to make *** variety of reds and once they tried pizza, they never looked back. One of our, especially pizzas that strikes me is the chipotle chicken and it's made with *** raspberry chipotle sauce that my wife developed. It's just *** nice combination of flavors they like to play with non orthodox flavors like pesto, chicken pair and chicken, apple, bacon. All of our desserts are made here in house including house specialty carrot cake, which happens to be cliff and Debbie's wedding cake for local residents. The winery is *** bit of an escape. This is really for us, just kind of our place to get away. We both enjoy the pizza and the wine. This is our favorite place to be. What do you think ladies, very phenomenal cheers to you. Hi guys.
